KFWB and KPCC-FM each won six Golden Mikes to lead the pack at Saturday night's banquet of the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California. Channel 4's 5pm newscast won for the best hour-long evening newscast, Channel 5 won for best daytime newscast, KFWB won for best radio newscast over 15 minutes and KFI won for best radio newscast under 15 minutes. The best writing awards went to My13 News on KCOP and "The Road to Success" on KTLA. Channel 5's coverage of the South-Central Farm evictions won for best live coverage.
