Hybrid day

Federal courts and post offices are closed for the national day of mourning for former President Gerald Ford. County and city offices and public transit in Los Angeles are keeping to a normal workweek schedule. Trash pickup in Los Angeles is delayed by a day all week due to New Year's. Drop-off centers for Christmas trees open next weekend.

Here at News & Chatter, Jan. 2 is still the New Year's weekend. We should be back to normal and resume the Morning Buzz tomorrow. For your reading enjoyment, there are new posts at Native Intelligence, SoCal Sports Observed, Chicken Corner, Here in Malibu and We Get Email.
