Symbolic little twist to the news that Home Depot's departing CEO Robert Nardelli leaves with an exit package worth $210 million. In an ad on page A11 of today's Times, Home Depot requests shoppers redeem their gift cards in January. The stores will donate 5% of each card's value to USO Centers. "Help us raise $1 million to support our troops," the headline shouts. Wonder if Nardelli is helping out.
