L.A. photos at the Getty

L.A. River confluenceNext week John Humble, whose website I stumbled upon in 2005, receives a pretty nice honor for a living Los Angeles photographer: a show of his work at the Getty. Humble's images of the L.A. River and the Los Angeles urbanscape will be on exhibit March 27 through July 8. The Getty is also publishing his book, A Place in the Sun. His photo here of the confluence of Calabasas and Bell creeks in Canoga Park is from 2001.

Also: The CalArts MFA students will hold their annual open studios at the campus the afternoon of April 15. Website.
