Trader Vic's on life support flatlines

BannerLA Observed reader Cecilia was at the Beverly Hilton last night and heard that Trader Vic's next door would serve its final mai-tai's today. "So we went over and had a goodbye drink with fruit, umbrellas, the whole works and a pupu platter. Can you find out what is going on?" Ay, it appears that the doors will close for good if not within hours, within a few days. Lesley at Eater LA reports they are having a staff meeting over there this morning. As reported here several times, there are big plans for the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica.

Update: End of the line.
