West side vs. east side skirmish

It's not what you're thinking. Out in the Santa Clarita Valley, an online newspaper for the Stevenson Ranch end of things — newer, upscale, further west — ran a comment that the older, eastier Canyon Country area was a hotbed of crime. The ensuing war of words made it into the Daily News, which reports that the reactions include complaints that the west side of the valley north of the Valley is "snobbish" and a dismissive remark that Stevenson Ranch is "Plastictown."
