'Roughed up, to put it mildly'

Those are reporter Christina Gonzalez's words on Fox 11 after she was shoved and laughed at by LAPD riot cops while coming to the defense of the station's camera operator, repeatedly pushed to the ground by an LAPD officer with a club last evening in MacArthur Park. Here's the YouTube video of Fox's crew and other journalists being treated roughly by the police.

The Radio and TV News Association has called for an investigation. Chief Bratton will speak at a 3 pm news conference. Daniel Hernandez checks in on his blog with the coverage in Spanish-language and ethnic media.

Also: KPCC's Patricia Nazario was treated at a hospital for injuries to her hand, ribs, and ankles from a police baton, the station reported.
