Magers can't go home again

MagersCBS2 anchor Paul Magers' former home in the Minneapolis area — called by one blogger a "grand-to-ostentatious Lake of the Isles mansion" — is in the news back there because it has just been purchased by Par Ridder, the publisher overseeing layoffs at the Star Tribune. Magers sold last year for about $2.55 million — those are Minnesota dollars, so you can imagine it was a big property. "Magers...lived the Hollywood high life long before moving to Beverly Hills," the blog The Rake says. (via Romenesko)
