Chief medical officer out at King-Harbor
Board of Supes wants a contingency plan to close the trouble hospital if it can't be fixed, while 911 calls from inside the hospital get out reporting how Edith Rodriguez died on the floor of the ER. LAT and LAT
DWP overcharged by $220 million
A judge ruled that the agency collected too much from other public agencies through the years and must repay the overcharges. LAUSD would get $94 million if the order stands, but the city said it would appeal. LAT, DN
Lopez on Delgadillo
"Look, we all know Rocky is not short for rocket scientist," the Times columnist writes in a piece about the city attorney, his GMC Yukon, and his wife without the drivers license. LAT
Ethics Commission fines
Delgadillo dinged for $11,450, Councilman Tony Cardenas for $7,250 and former mayor Jim Hahn for $5,450 — all for violations of campaign disclosure laws. LAT Commissioner Bill Boyarsky argues at his LAO blog that state legislators of both parties are trying to gut those laws.
Designer Anand Jon called 'prolific sexual predator'
Already accused of sexually assaulting a dozen women and girls, he was charged here Tuesday with attacks on six other women. Dallas authorities want to arrest him too. Prosecutors say many of the victims were aspiring models. LAT, DN, TMZ
Holly Ashcraft to go free
The former USC student who dumped her newborn in a dumpster can't face any more homicide or manslaughter charges, a judge rules. Prosecutors will appeal. LAT
Spector trial DNA quandary
No DNA on the gun, but traces of Spector show up on Lana Clarkson's breast, while her DNA — and that of a third person — possibly turns up in Spector's groin area. LAT
