Paris Hilton can phone in this morning's court appearance after all. Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini, who has been speaking for Judge Michael Sauer, gave no reason for the change. TMZ says the lawyers are all in court fighting about it right now. In case you've forgotten, the party girl was sentenced to 45 days in jail after repeatedly violating probation on alcohol-related reckless driving charges by driving on a suspended license. Sauer had ordered she serve the full 45 days with no home leave or ankle bracelet exemptions, but the sheriff's department cut the sentence to 23 days — then cut her loose yesterday after three-plus days.
