Firefighter falls through burning roof *

An LAFD firefighter was rescued tonight after plunging through the roof of a commercial building on fire in the Jefferson Park area. He was saved by other firefighters and taken to Cedars-Sinai, "but it was not clear if he was conscious," spokesman Pat Marek said. The fire was reported at 5111 Adams Boulevard at 8:20 pm. CBS 2

* Updated: "He has sustained some burns, but the good thing is that he is alert, he is conscious, and we feel that his prognosis is good," Los Angeles Fire Department Deputy Chief Jim Hill told KCAL 9.
