Correction o' the day
From the September issue of Los Angeles magazine:
In Josh Kun's "The Ballad of Music Man Murray," which appeared in the July issue, it was indicated that Jimmy Durante appeared in the film Dumbo. Durante had a major role in the MGM musical Jumbo.
Big nose, not big ears.
Also in Los Angeles: Several September stories are now online, including Jesse Katz' on UCLA rabbi Chaim Seidler-Feller, Claire Hoffman's revelatory tales of Internet dating, and my piece on Antonio Villaraigosa and his affair.
