Turns out Supervisor Mike Antonovich has a hand in the Erwin Chemerinsky debacle, more signs that water rationing is coming, and O.J. is questioned in Vegas — plus YouTube video of Dancing Antonio. That and more down below.

Chemerinsky story going strong

The Times follows up on UC Irvine dropping Erwin Chemerinsky as head of its new law school and runs Op-Eds from the scholar and from the chancellor, who denies the hidden hand of Donald Bren or anyone else. "It was a culmination of discussions -- with many people over a period of time -- that convinced me that Professor Chemerinsky and I would not be able to partner effectively to build a world-class law school at UC Irvine," writes Michael V. Drake. The Register, meanwhile, finds several OC Republicans who opposed Chemerinsky and reports that as early as Aug. 29, L.A. County Supervisor Supervisor Mike Antonovich "asked fellow Republicans how Chemerinsky's appointment could be stopped." LAT main, Register
