New schools blog

The Times lost its School Me blog and column when Bob Sipchen quit to edit the Sierra Club magazine in San Francisco and co-blogger Janine Kahn went to the OC Weekly. Now it will try Homeroom, written by two fresh Teach for America devotees — a new graduate of Notre Dame who teaches middle school science in Watts and a recent Michigan State grad who teaches 12th grade government in Lawndale — and by a senior at South Pasadena High School. Notice a trend?
