Brought down by his own blog *

Kazuyoshi Miura never should have posted on his blog that he would be visiting the Pacific island of Saipan. That's where U.S. immigation officers grabbed him. They were tipped by the LAPD after a retired detective saw the post. Miura now awaits extradition to Los Angeles for possible trial on the murder-for-hire of his wife on a Downtown street 27 years ago. LAT.

Add police beat: At 5:30 pm Mayor Villaraigosa and Chief Bratton will announce an arrest in yesterday's bus stop shooting of eight people near Carver Middle School. Update: The suspect is a 24-year-old member of the 48th Street Crips.
