CBS executives are moving to the Studio City complex from Television City this weekend. The influx of all those suits figures to disrupt the Radford lot culture, not to mention increase the waiting times at Valleywood lunch spots. But first and always, it's about the parking. Memo threatening the Denver Boot from the head of security, via the newsroom:

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE CBS CORPORATE EXECUTIVES ARE MOVING INTO THE THIRD FLOOR THIS WEEKEND. THERE WILL BE MOVERS, ETC AND ACTIVITY IN THE BUILDING ASSOCIATED WITH THE MOVE BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THIS WILL NOT IMPEDE OUR WEEKEND CREW IN ANY WAY -- THIS IS JUST A HEADS UP...

ALSO -- BELOW IS A REPEAT OF THE MEMO FROM MIKE SKINNER ON PARKING CHANGES THAT GO INTO EFFECT AS A RESULT OF THE MOVE IN.

To all Studio City Broadcast Center Employees, Vendors, and Guests:

Beginning Wednesday, March 26, 2008, ALL parking spaces along the west side of the Broadcast Center, except the two handicap spaces, will be assigned to the 3rd floor CBS Corporate Executives. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE PARK IN THESE SPACES AT ANY TIME. Twelve visitor spaces, BC46 thru BC57, will be coned off and CBS Security will monitor access to those spaces as needed.

As a reminder, Broadcast Center employees should park on the 1st or 2nd floor of the north parking structure, or if spaces are not available, on the 4th or 5th floor in general parking. Do not park on the 3rd floor. All spaces on the 3rd floor of the north structure are reserved for on-lot production. We are now in full production and our parking rules and guidelines will be strictly enforced. Vehicles parked in unauthorized spaces will be ticketed for the 1st offense and subject to the wheel boot "Denver Boot" pictured below for a 2nd offense, resulting in a $25 fine to have it removed. Those who already have been ticketed in the past will have the wheel boot installed on the next offense. If you have any questions regarding this notice, please feel free to call me at extension 6262. Thanks in advance for everyone's cooperation.

Regards,
Mike Skinner
Director of Security

As newspapers and television pull back from investigative reporting, foundations and other organizations are beginning to fill the void. One of the most interesting is Accountable California, a project of Local 721 of the Service Employees International Union.
