Johnson
It's been a while since LA Observed readers first met math-challenged weather babe Jackie Johnson. If you have always craved just a little bit more, the CBS2/KCAL website has what you need: a slide show of Johnson arriving at the studio, checking her mail, getting her hair and makeup done, sitting next to a writer and finally doing the news — "the end of a hard day's work." A Day With Jackie Johnson begins when she, and I quote, "arrives at our Studio City Broadcast Center fresh and full of energy, hours before her newscast will air." [Hat tip: Soup Cans] The site also offers a slide show of traffic reporter Vera Jimenez.

JohnsonMeanwhile: CBS2/KCAL9 news photographer Bryan Frank's personal blog of his work day out and around in Los Angeles (and in Las Vegas currently) is coming up on four years old in May. And still the reigning champion blog from an L.A. TV journalist — ladies and gentleman, the great beFrank. "I work for the truth and I love what I do," he says.
