'Mandatory' meeting in San Gabriel *

Staffers at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, already reeling from firings yesterday, have been told to show up today: "Please arrange your schedule to meet here at the Tribune in the back conference room at 1:00 p.m. for an announcement from Steve O'Sullivan. Mandatory!" The speculation is that O'Sullivan, the executive editor, will be leaving.

* Yup: O'Sullivan is indeed out. Gary Scott has details.
