More layoffs today in LANGland *

One reporter each at the Pasadena Star-News and San Gabriel Valley Tribune so far, says former LANGland editor and reporter Gary Scott. More expected at the Inland Empire properties, he says. Scott is keeping a running tally at his blog.

Also: OC Weekly says that the LAT's Jennifer Delson confirms she is leaving the Orange County staff. She covers Santa Ana. (In comments at the Weekly blog, she's called the last Spanish-speaking reporter covering Orange County for the LAT. But I'm told that longtime reporters David Reyes and Gil Reza both speak Spanish.)

And in the East: Former LAT reporter David Johnston says he will take the buyout from the New York Times. Not enough people applied for the NYT buyout to avoid layoffs, per Romenesko.
