Update from LANGland

Ten newsroom positions will be eliminated from Pasadena to Whittier "before the day is out," says ex-staffer Gary Scott at his blog. Other departments are losing key people as well.

All of the newsroom cuts should be completed by the end of today, I'm told. However, employees should be prepared for a major announcement of some kind tomorrow.

More are getting the axe at the San Bernardino Sun and Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Scott says.
