Blogosphere

Another reason I love the web

Jon Weisman's blog prompt began, "My most devastating breakup occurred eight days after the 1994 baseball strike began (with the Dodgers trapped in first place in the National League West) and barely a year after I had turned my life over for the second time to reinvent my career. I was feeling mighty low." He went on:

Here's my question for you: What do you want most in your life right now, and do you think the Dodgers will win the World Series before or after that happens?

The 275+ comments that followed touched on topics as varied as teaching World War II and Vietnam to high schoolers, the exact definition of the word "tepid," and how Nelson Mandela greeted Rosa Parks. And of course, many offerings in reply to the questions.
