11-murder weekend in L.A. County
At least eleven, says the Times roundup — nine of them in the city of Los Angeles, and four of those in the Valley. Ruben Vives gives some details on each killing at the Homicide Report blog. Nary a mention yet on the LAPD's news blog. Even before this weekend, homicide was the one major crime on LAPD turf with a rising rate compared to last year.
