For the eighth time in two weeks, a robber has hit the stretch of Melrose Avenue between Fairfax and La Brea. The latest, at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, occurred just off Melrose on Genesee Avenue when three young men jumped out of a car and snatched a purse from one of two women walking together.
