CTG offers $20 tix, lots of them

The Center Theatre Group says it's making 100,000 tickets available at $20 a pop to all shows this season at the Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum and Kirk Douglas Theatre. Unlike the HotTix program the theaters usually offer, there is no two-ticket limit. �We hope this offers a little escape from all the bad economic news,� artistic director Michael Ritchie says in the release. Bad economic news at the CTG itself is behind the move, reporter Diane Haithman says at the LAT's Culture Monster blog.
