Deputy's attack worse than first reported

After being told that his wife was leaving him for a younger man, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy Robert McClain sexually tortured her and her lover for hours and left the man so deeply slashed he will need major facial reconstruction, Orange County prosecutors charged. McClain forced the couple to strip at knifepoint, ordered her to castrate the 23-year-old man (she faked it) and McClain also disrobed. The wife eventually escaped with her four children and drove to a hospital. Sheriff Lee Baca says that McClain, who faces possible life in prison if convicted, will be fired today. LAT, Register
