Ladies and gentlemen, X! *

This video of the band X performing "Los Angeles" has a lot of early 1980s footage of the city, including the original Hard Rock Cafe downtown, an RTD bus advertising K-JOI FM and anti-war gadlfy General Hershey Bar. Safe to say Exene could have been on something this night.

* Update: Music writer Chris Morris emails that the video is a clip from W.T. Morgan's 1986 documentary about X, "The Unheard Music." Morris, who did publicity for the film, was there when the song was performed and recalls that "Exene was on nothing stronger than Budweiser that night."
