Press-Telegram shutters gay magazine

Clout positioned itself as a lifestyle magazine mostly for gay and lesbian couples. The passage of Proposition 8, to go with the slumping economy, apparently cinched Clout's demise. From an email by associate publisher Greg Inzunza:

CLOUT magazine in many ways lived and died along with the same-sex marriage issue here in California. Because we concentrated on gay and lesbian owned homes, our readers often saw us as a couples’ magazine for the community. In each issue we presented homes where couples lived and loved. We can proudly say that our advertising revenue doubled when the State Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in May this year. However, when Proposition 8 passed in the November 4 election, we saw revenue basically drop dramatically.
