San Fernando Valley

What went wrong at the Children's Museum

"It was supposed to be the Valley's first public museum, our own Disney Hall," says a Daily News editorial. Instead, the plan to relocate the Children's Museum to Hansen Dam in Lake View Terrace fell victim to "a series of bad choices, lackluster political support and, finally, the economy." The post-mortem points a finger at the Valley's own lack of interest.

Related: The San Fernando Valley Fair, for decades a major local event, has been held outside the Valley the last couple of years — and this year won't be held at all.
