Seven Los Angeles buildings considered important in African American history — including three designed by architect Paul Williams — have been added to the National Register of Historic Places. They include the Lincoln Theater on Central Avenue that was nicknamed the West Coast Apollo. The Dunbar Hotel was already on the register.
