Gov vetoes South Pasadena tunnel bill

There's no need for a special law banning options other than a tunnel for extending the 710 freeway from Alhambra to Pasadena, Gov, Schwarzenegger's veto message said. South Pasadena had wanted the bill, authored by state Sen. Gil Cedillo, to help block a long-delayed surface freeway from cleaving the city.
