Jason Martinez out at KTLA

Channel 5 confirmed that weekend anchor Jason Martinez resigned abruptly on Sept. 29 after just nine months at the station. Martinez had been tapped to anchor during the week at 6:30 and 10 p.m., then was bumped to weekends when Micah Ohlman was hired as weeknight anchor in August. After Martinez's info vanished from the KTLA website there was station gossip about an incident, but News Director Jason Ball told the Daily News he wouldn't discuss why Martinez left: "It's a personnel issue."
