  • Publisher Eddy Hartenstein was right about the L.A. Times losing a bunch of circulation — down 11% daily to 657,467 — but the San Francisco Chronicle (-25%) is in freefall. The LAT is still fourth in the U.S., but with less than a third the print readers of the Wall Street Journal. On Sundays the lat IS #2, with 983,702, a drop of 6.76%.
