Downtown suddenly a player in Broad museum talks

Eric Richardson at Blogdowntown floated on Friday the nugget that Eli Broad's quest for a land deal for his long-discussed art museum would come up today in a closed-door meeting of the people behind the Grand Avenue project on Bunker Hill. Now Anna Scott at the Downtown News reports that negotiations did indeed begin this morning about using the land south of the REDCAT theater. They won't be too happy about this turn in Santa Monica.
