It's Los Angeles Arts Month again

artsmonthphoto.jpgThe kickoff media op for year two is Tuesday morning at 9 at REDCAT Downtown. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Councilmember Tom LaBonge, actor Alec Mapa, LA Opera mezzo soprano Ronnita Nicole Miller and local arts leaders will discuss this year's action. Here's a list of special arts activities around town.

At 11 a.m.: Town Hall will convene a panel at MOCA on the financial picture for museums. Billed panelists include Ford W. Bell, president of the American Association of Museums; Michael Govan, CEO at LACMA; Charmaine Jefferson, executive director of the California African American Museum; Chon A. Noriega, director of the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center; and Paul Schimmel, chief curator at MOCA.
