'Runaways' hits Sundance 'like a freight train'

The real Joan Jett and Cherie Currie made the scene in Sundance for "The Runaways" premiere over the weekend. For Currie, it must be a fun break from her Chatsworth Chainsaw Chick routine. (I recently caught a few minutes of Foxes, the Jodie Foster vehicle from 1980 where she and Currie play troubled San Fernando Valley teens. Currie's character gets killed off.) The still above is from a flip video interview Anne Thompson of IndieWire did with Kristen Stewart, who plays Jett in the film, and Dakota Fanning, who plays Currie. Stewart seems so uncomfortable doing media it always creeps me out a bit to watch her, but here you go. Story and video
