Couple of L.A. baseball blogs to note

newhans-blog.jpgRoss and David Newhan have found a blog niche they should have all to themselves. Ross was the longtime baseball writer for the Los Angeles Times (see his Hall of Fame page), while David played in the big leagues between 1999 and 2008 (good for 413 games and 1,095 plate appearances. They aren't writing every day (yet!), but it's interesting to have a father and son insider perspective on the games. Newhan on Baseball

Also: Jon SooHoo, the Dodgers in-house photographer, is now posting at Dodgers Photog Blog on MLB.com. Hat tip: Dodger Thoughts

And of course: Bob Timmermann, at Native Intelligence, reads the new blog by former major league player (and USC star) Morgan Ensberg. (Including some media criticism of the LAT.)

Drugs in baseball?: When the Dodgers play the Cubs today in Chicago, the scheduled starting pitchers are Ely [sic] and Lilly.
