A couple of Los Angeles television news veterans retire from their stations this week. Gene Gleeson leaves Channel 7 and Mark Coogan departs Channels 2/9. They were feted by colleagues at a joint going-away party, and both the City Council and Board of Supes weighed in on Coogan this week. He's been on the politics beat for a long time.
