parking-meter-towel.jpgFood writer Barbara Hansen watched last night as a guy pulled into a parking spot on a trendy block of Beverly Boulevard, wrapped a shirt around the parking meter and strolled away with two women. The scofflaw saved, at most, the coinage for a half-hour of parking. (It was 7:30 and the parking restrictions there end at 8 p.m. on Sundays.) "No traffic officer would be fooled by such a well-dressed meter," Hansen blogged. "Did the cheapskate driver get a ticket? I don't know. But it's not hard to guess what kind of a tip he left wherever that group ate." Click the photo to see bigger.
