  • President Barack Obama speaks tonight at the Hancock Park home of television producer John Wells at two separate fundraisers for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Barbra Streisand are among the co-sponsors. Variety, City News Service
  • Witness LA is out with the first part of Follow the Gang Money, its collaborative investigation with Spot US of city gang spending: "You’ll find that both sections of this series are quite critical of multiple aspects the gang programs that have operated under the umbrella of the mayor’s office for the past two years...However, just to be clear: our criticism does not suggest for a minute that the $26 million in gang dollars is not worth spending."
