Fat Beats, hip-hop landmark on Melrose, is closing

This weekend is the last one at Fat Beats, a destination music store for hip-hop artists and fans for 14 years. Performances are scheduled through Sunday in the store at 7600 Melrose. The New York store closed earlier this month. Fat Beats Records will continue to sell online.
