HuffPost gets out of the investigative reporting game

The Huffington Post Investigative Fund brand will disappear and its staff and $2 million in grants are being absorbed by the Center for Public Integrity, based in Washington. The merger will greatly increase the size of the center, and its stories will now run in the Huffington Post.

Also in non-profit media: The staff of California Watch was named "journalists of the year" by the Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Also, longtime legal reporter Bob Egelko of the San Francisco Chronicle will receive the chapter's career achievement award.
