If you think Starbucks is slow now...

Starbucks baristas are being told to take their time even more, according to company documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The home office wants baristas to stop making multiple drinks at the same time "and focus instead on no more than two drinks at a time—starting a second one while finishing the first." Also, no more grinding of beans in advance, but rather upon each order. Part of the reason for the changes is to increase the "theatre" of coffee dispensing, but baristas (and customers) are more worried about the prospect of longer, more impatient lines.
