Two porn houses shut down after male actor tests HIV +

Wicked Pictures and Vivid Entertainment said Tuesday they would stop production after an unnamed performer in the adult industry tested positive for HIV. The Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation in Sherman Oaks confirmed the test and said other actors who may have been exposed are being pulled from productions, but would not give the original performer's identity or sex. AVN News, however, reported that the actor who tested positive is a man "who performed in both straight and gay adult videos. Additionally, we received word that an undetermined number of first and second generation adult performers who may have been exposed have been quarantined at this time." XBiz.com did not report the sex of the performer but concurs that the number of porn actors being quarantined is still evolving.
