Nikki Finke says the pair of actors have been asked to host the Academy Awards telecast on Feb. 27 and both have tentatively agreed. Finke says her sources think an announcement could come this week from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
* It's official: That's a toldja for Finke. After the official announcement, Deadline columnist Pete Hammond gave a scary piece of analysis: "Part of the reason the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences feels comfortable going with these two is that both James Franco and Anne Hathaway have both very successfully hosted Saturday Night Live." Yowza.
