Wilshire fly-over ramps on 405 confirmed

wilshire-ramp-graphic.jpgThis might be the biggest thing to help Westside traffic congestion that is in the works. It turns out that the Wilshire on- and off-ramps are indeed becoming flyover ramps as part of the 405 freeway upgrade project, as I suspected. That means the cars getting on the freeway won't have to fight through the cars lining up to get off the freeway, causing jams that affect Wilshire all the way to the Santa Monica city line, and spilling over to other streets. The flyover design will be discussed at a community meeting tonight, says a story at ZevWeb.
