Hidden Los Angeles versus Los Angeles Magazine

HiddenLA-lamag.jpgLos Angeles magazine's Hidden L.A. cover package this month has some fun stuff. Not amused, though, are fans of the wildly popular Hidden Los Angeles website and Facebook page with its 202,000 likes. They have been howling about their online community not being mentioned, and the name being borrowed. Creator W. Lynn Garrett posted Tuesday: "A few of you have gotten riled up on LA Magazine's FB page regarding this community not being mentioned in their 'hiddenLA' issue and I just wanted to say that I sincerely appreciate having such enthusiastic/loyal followers and friends. Thanks for being so supportive! :)" She is meeting March 8 with editor Mary Melton, and promises "of course I'll let you all know how that goes." One of her points is that she trademarked the title "Hidden LA" a while back.
