Potluck dinner with Lisa Napoli

The longtime public radio journalist hosts weekly potluck dinners in her apartment on Bunker Hill that were featured in Saturday's Home section in the L.A. Times. She's been doing the parties for six years here, the story says, but the tradition began with her at CNN in Atlanta. Napoli has found love through her Friday night affairs — with Ted Habte-Gabr, who runs the Live Talks Los Angeles series and other local events (and manages the band made up of Dave Barry and other authors, the Rock Bottom Remainders.)

Noted: Napoli's new book, "Radio Shangri-la: What I Learned in Bhutan, the Happiest Kingdom on Earth," will be celebrated Thursday night at Track 16 Gallery in Santa Monica's Bergamot Station.
