Parks officially wins his City Council race

There will be no change in the election night results: Councilman Bernard Parks has squeezed out a reelection win with 51.2% of the vote over challenger Forescee Hogan-Rowles, who received 43.5%. The raw totals in CD8 from the City Clerk this morning:

Bernard Parks 9,482
Forescee Hogan-Rowles 8,058
Jabari S. Jumaane 975

Also in the final report: Citywide turnout was 14.1 percent of registered voters, or 232,328 votes cast. Just over half were cast at polls, the rest by mail or drop-off.
