Villaraigosa's national star doesn't shine on MSNBC

john-perez-msnbc.jpgIn one of those click-luring photo galleries disguised as analysis, MSNBC's politics blog picks ten Latino politicians "whose stars are on the rise." Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who used to be a mainstay on these kinds of lists, doesn't make the cut. Florida's Republican Senator, Marco Rubio, tops the list. The only Californians are Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis (#2), state Sen. Alex Padilla (#9) and Speaker John Perez (#10.)
