Algae-sickened sea lions rescued off beach

Peter Wallerstein, director of Marine Animal Rescue, collects an ailing and pregnant sea lion on the beach at Santa Monica on Sunday. Poisoning from domoic acid in natural blooming algae led to seven rescues earlier in the weekend, says Jonathan Alcorn at his blog.
